ABOUT CASA OOLIBKA
Whether your visit to Costa Rica is one for relaxation or adventure, Casa Oolibka is the perfect retreat for family and friends. The spacious property is designed with open air living spaces, a private pool, a fitness/yoga shala and climbing wall. Step outside to the beautifully landscaped property and take full advantage of the ocean breeze. One hour daily housekeeping included.
LOCATION IS EVERYTHING
Casa Oolibka is located in one of the most secure neighborhoods above Guiones in the Nosara area offering ocean views and less than a 10 minute drive to the main Guiones surf beach and paved access roads.
The Las Huacas residential community has a strict noise ordinance from 10pm to 7am. Any disturbance caused by the Rental Party will not be tolerated as this is a residential community. Rental Party agrees not to use the premises for any and all improper purposes nor permit any disturbances or hosting of events (including, but not limited to weddings, parties, raves, etc.).
ON THE INSIDE
The 4 bedroom home has 1 king bed and 4 queen beds to comfortably sleep 10 guests. Other special features include a 2 car garage, secure gated entrance, game room, full home solar power, water filtration system, recycled grey water irrigation, and a UV resistant laminated glass folding window and door system. Let the chef in your family or travel group take full advantage of the huge outdoor kitchen, 20 foot center island and plenty of room for dining inside and outside. We are also happy to help with hiring of a private chef.
There is also a 4 bedroom guest home on the property that is rented separately. It has its own private pool and access. If you have a larger group and would like to rent both homes, please let us know.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT CASA OOLIBKA.
Due to the design of the home, the windows and glass doors are not sealed meaning there are gaps to allow air flow. As a result, it is easy for insects to enter the home, so please expect this during your stay. One hour of daily housekeeping is included to help manage this inconvenience. We are also in the process of making some updates based upon prior guest feedback, including new curtains. Note, that not all ceiling fans function. Our team will walk through how to activate those that do. We are working to repair or replace the fans that are not functioning; however, this may not be done prior to your stay. The home is fumigated two times every year to help manage ants and other insects as best as possible. To help with a smoother arrival process, a member of our team will meet you at the property for an in-person check-in. If your arrival will be after 8pm, we will coordinate with you for a remote check-in and then meet with you the morning after your arrival to answer any questions you have.
LOCAL QUIRKS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS AREA OF COSTA RICA
While the infrastructure in Costa Rica is improving, it is highly likely that you will experience dust, bugs, mold, power, water and internet outages at some point during your stay. We consider it part of the fun of experiencing another country and culture. All of these issues are beyond the control of the homeowner and the management company and may come without advance notice. If having internet access is imperative during your visit, we recommend you research internet data plans available to you through your cellular provider. The Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada and surrounding areas of Nosara are rapidly growing communities. As such, much of the area will have noise from construction typically between the hours of 6am and 5pm. We do our best to update our properties impacted by construction, however, we are not always provided advance notice of a project. The septic system in the Nosara area does not permit flushing of toilet paper with few exceptions. If you have any questions at all, please contact us in advance of booking your stay as refunds and concessions will not be given for any of the reasons above as they are beyond the control of the homeowner and property manager. The Las Huacas residential community has a strict noise ordinance beginning at 11pm. Any disturbance caused by the Rental Party will not be tolerated as this is a residential community. Rental Party agrees not to use the premises for any and all improper purposes nor permit any disturbances to the surrounding inhabitants, neighbors, or nature areas.
Please be aware that, as with many beach communities, petty theft is a common issue in the Nosara area. Your safety and well-being is a top priority for us, so please assist us by taking the following steps.
Do not flush toilet paper or any other paper products in the toilet. A bin will be present in the bathrooms for disposal of all paper products. This is due to the septic system in the Nosara area and not specific to the property you are renting.
Keep doors and windows locked, and if applicable, security bars in place for sliding doors and windows when you are away from the property and at night. If you are unable to locate the bars for the sliding doors and windows, please contact us as soon as possible.
Do not leave any valuables or personal items out when you leave the house. This includes electronics, identification documents and anything else of apparent monetary value.
Do not leave valuables in your car when you are out and about.
Do not leave anything unattended on your front or back patios.
Always set the security alarm when you leave the property, even if it is for a short time.
While the presence of a security guard is not included with your rental, we would be happy to outsource a security guard for your stay. Please let us know during the initial booking process if you would like a hired guard and the hours you would like covered. Your safety is a top priority at Rent Nosara and we appreciate your effort in taking these steps to ensure an uneventful, memorable stay.

RENTAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
IMPORTANT: WE DO NOT GUARANTEE AVAILABILITY FOR ARRIVAL LESS THAN 48 HOURS (2 DAYS) FROM BOOKING. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A RESERVATION FOR ARRIVAL WITHIN 48 HOURS, PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR TO BOOKING TO CONFIRM AVAILABILITY.
The property is located in a residential neighborhood and quiet hours begin at 10pm. The noise ordinance is strictly enforced and we appreciate your cooperation.
The Rental Party is responsible for any transaction fees that might take place during a wire transfer.
Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Any and all damage caused by Rental Party or excessive cleaning required is to be taken from the damage deposit. If the damage deposit does not cover total cost of damages, Rental Party is responsible for making payment for the difference.
Home and property are privately owned; the Owner(s) and Manager(s) are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Owner(s) are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
This includes use of the climbing wall and guests should use their own judgment regarding their ability and the ability of all members of the party or invited guests before attempting to use the climbing wall. Owner and Manager are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur resulting from use of the climbing wall by the guest, members of the guest party or others the guest may invite to the property.
Rental Party understands that they may experience power outages, water outages, internet failures and dust during their stay. Additionally, the Nosara region is undergoing a growth phase resulting in an increase in construction. It is likely you will experience construction noise during your stay. The presence of insects in a home is not uncommon with the environment in Costa Rica. Owner and Manager(s) are not responsible beyond what they cannot control. If you have any concerns, contact Manager prior to booking.
Check in time is between the hours of 4PM and 9PM. Any arrival after 9PM will result in a $100 late check in fee. Late checkout may be available by request. Requests must be received by the Rent Nosara group chat 24 hours in advance of your designated checkout day and time. Any guest who stays beyond the designated departure time without prior approval will forfeit their deposit. No exceptions. Thank you for helping us timely prepare the home for the next arrival.
Smoking is NOT allowed inside any unit. Smoking is allowed outside only.
People other than those in the guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
Only use appliances for their intended uses.
Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. If you are uncertain about where to park, please confirm with Manager.
Bathroom towels from the home are not to be taken to the beach.
Keys: Rental Party agrees to return all keys immediately upon checkout. Failure to do so will result in a $150 charge.
